On Friday, 7 March 2025, at 14:00, the Stevenskerk in Nijmegen will host the seminar ‘Preserving the Images’. This event focuses on the future of photographic collections from professional photographers and the challenges associated with their preservation.
Contributions from photographers, curators, and archivists will address questions such as: where can these collections be housed, what should or should not be preserved, and who owns the photos and the stories they tell. Participation costs €25 and includes a visit to the exhibition ‘The Treasure Room of Jan van Teeffelen’ in the Stevenskerk.
The Forhanna Foundation has contributed to the programme of the seminar ‘Preserving the Images’ due to the increasing demand for housing photographic collections from photographers or their heirs.
