From Willem Poelstra’s estate, bequeathed to Forhanna, a large number of photographic films in various shapes and forms were found. They deserved an appropriate destination.
After the death of photographer Willem Poelstra, about 400 pieces of unused film rolls were found in the freezer in his house. Ready to hit the road. Poelstra never got around to it.
All films were donated to the photographic department of the Noorderpoort College in Groningen, the Netherlands. A group of 12 students, all participating in the ‘Excellence Project 2021-22’ will use the material to photograph around the theme of ‘resilience’. Resulting pictures are made available to the Dutch Cancer institute, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek.
Forhanna supports the students with the materials and a Production Grant.
