Amsterdam Museum will put together a temporary exhibition of contemporary art with ‘Refresh Amsterdam’. Kevin Osepa’s project ‘Klof, Bario di Spriritu’ is part of this exhibition.
Curator Imara Limon has asked twenty-five artists (collectives) to reflect on today’s city. They map out changes and tell special stories about less exposed sides of the city. Makers could submit a proposal for a work with the theme ‘Sense of place’ via an open call.
A part of Kevin Osepa’s project ‘Klof, Bario di Spiritu’ was chosen because it has a strong relationship on how people relate to a place and whether they can feel at home there. Klof’s story complements Amsterdam’s relationship and is represented in the city’s historical heritage.
Kevin Osepa also provided the atmospheric image that was used in all communication.
This edition is organized together with Amsterdam culture houses: De Appel, CBK Zuidoost, Compagnietheater, OSCAM, Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, SEXYLAND and The Black Archives.
