A Story of Fake News
Jonas Bendiksen, The Book of Veles

Artificial intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly, and the next U.S. presidential elections are approaching. In this exhibition, Jonas Bendiksen emphasizes the need for (digital) media literacy and encourages everyone to critically assess the reliability of news and information.

The exhibition features the work of Norwegian photojournalist Jonas Bendiksen, who investigated the production of fake news in the North Macedonian village of Veles. This village gained notoriety during the 2016 U.S. presidential elections for the spread of misleading news stories.

The exhibition highlights the dangers of fake news and the impact of technology on our perception of reality. With the rise of artificial intelligence and digital manipulation, critically evaluating the reliability of information is more important than ever.

The exhibition runs from 14 September to 10 November 2024.
