Joshua Irwandi’s iconic representation of the COVID-19 pandemic with his VIRAL image was directly awarded in 2021.
He received a first prize in the ‘citizen journalism category’ at Anugerah Pewarta Foto Indonesia in Jakarta. There he presented his work in the center of the lobby of the nationa Library to the Tansportation and Education Ministers of the country. The photo will reappear in NatGeo magazine and he was recently invited to be a speaker at the NatGeo Society’s virtual Storytellers Summit.
